TSE Consulting are delighted to announce than three time Olympian and former Champion rower Emma Twigg will be joining The Academy this year as a guest speaker. Emma will share her insights on how sports organisations can use events and ambassadors to promote themselves and their sport.

Emma has represented New Zealand in Rowing in the Women’s Single Scull event at Beijing 2008, London 2012 and Rio 2016, finishing fourth in these last two Olympics. Emma has been a Junior and U23 World Champion and in 2014 was crowned World Champion and FISA’s World Female Rower of the year.

A recent graduate from the FIFA Master, an International Masters in Sports Management, Emma also holds a Bachelor of Communication Studies (BCS) and Public Relations from the University of Waikato, in New Zealand Alongside her sporting and academic endeavours, Emma has been an ambassador for a number of different organizations, federations and charities. Now retired from rowing, Emma recently started working for the IOC in their Games Department.

Having been a top athlete for over 13 years, Emma has great experience of being an ambassador for her sport and for commercial enterprises. She will not only talk about why it is important for sports organisations to use events and ambassadors to further their development, but also how they can go about implementing this in the most successful manner.
