Tennis Europe Launches Online European Tennis Calendar

Tennis Europe have launched a pan-European Tennis Calendar at their website http://www.tenniseurope.org/. The consolidated calendar is the only one of its kind, and details every international tennis event held in Europe throughout the year.

The printable calendar is searchable by date, country and organising body, enabling the user to view at a glance all events in Europe on a given week, to view the annual calendars of the various disciplines, or to view all international events scheduled in any of Tennis Europe’s 48 member nations. Also detailed are the court surface and draw information from each event.

Tennis Europe Managing Director, External Affairs, Olli Mäenpää commented “Tennis is a sport with a huge number of events, spread over a variety of disciplines, and organised by a number of different bodies. At times it is difficult for players, fans and those involved with tennis to keep track of what’s going on.

As the main organising body in Europe, we felt it was important to be able to give our users an overview of what is happening on a continental scale, rather than having search a number of websites and view various calendars.”

In addition to tournament information, the calendar includes international trade shows, conferences and coaching events, and in the coming weeks will be expanded to link directly the web sites of all listed events.

To access the calendar, visit the homepage of http://www.tenniseurope.org/, where the current week can be found under the current new stories. The searchable

functions can be found by clicking on ‘More dates and events.’
