Hari Vijayarajan, chief commercial officer of mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion ONE Championship, has announced he is leaving the company to join tech firm Reebelo.
Vijayarajan joined ONE in January 2019 from Lazada Singapore, a division of Chinese conglomerate Alibaba.
He will become a regional chief executive for Reebelo, a growing sustainable tech startup based in Singapore.
Over his tenure, Vijayarajan has overseen a period of growth for ONE, with the company recently agreeing a major broadcast deal with UK pay-TV heavyweight Sky that sees it breaking into the UK market for the first time.
Vijayarajan said of his departure: “I am proud of the excellent commercial foundation that we have built, the awesome team I had the privilege to hire and groom, and the exciting years that lie ahead as ONE continues to expand rapidly and globally.
“ONE has had a record 2023 in terms of viewership, engagement, and revenues, and our revenue pipeline is the largest it’s ever been. So, leaving was an extremely hard (and almost unnatural) decision, especially with ONE’s future looking so bullish.”
