Her remit in terms of On Location’s sporting events will include properties such as American football’s Super Bowl, and the Olympic and Paralympic Games. In addition, she will attend the numerous events that IMG produces for its clients.

IMG has said Matijak joins “with more than 20 years’ experience in leading and executing large-scale, global, cross-enterprise programs.”

Previous roles include global vice president of professional services at HERE Technologies, a location and mapping platform firm.

Endeavor, the media and entertainment giant that controls IMG and On Location, combined the hospitality firm and IMG’s events division in a merger last June.

On Location is the official hospitality provider of the 2024 Paris Olympics as part of a groundbreaking partnership that will see it also be the exclusive provider of the 2026 Milano-Cortina Winter Olympics and the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

Speaking to GlobalData recently, Will Whiston, executive vice president of Olympics & Paralympics at On Location, called its stewardship of the Olympic hospitality provision rights a “watershed moment” for the games.

Last month, meanwhile, On Location renewed its partnership with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the governing body of college athletics in the US.

Endeavor now claims On Location is an official service provider to over 150 rightsholders.

The firm completed the acquisition of a majority stake in On Location at the start of 2020, in a deal worth about $660 million.
