Endeavor, the international entertainment and sports giant, has promoted Scott Jernigan to executive vice president and chief commercial officer of global sports for its On Location and IMG Events premium experience businesses.
Jernigan, who previously served as executive vice president of global sports for On Location, will continue to report to Paul Caine, president of IMG Events and On Location, as part of the newly defined executive leadership team.
In his new role, Jernigan will continue to drive strategy, growth, activation, and product marketing experiences across On Location’s portfolio of global sports rightsholders, including the International Olympic Committee, NFL, Super Bowl, NCAA, PGA of America, NASCAR, UFC, and WWE.
He will also oversee IMG’s stadia and hospitality business under IMG Events supporting sales and marketing efforts for various venues, events, and governing bodies.
Jernigan has led all On Location's products and go-to-market strategy for North American sports accounts, including the Super Bowl, Ryder Cup, PGA Tournament, NFL games, NCAA men’s final four, the Masters tournament, and the Rose Bowl.
He was also credited with playing a key role in helping On Location win the first-ever contract to serve as the exclusive service provider of hospitality programs for the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris 2024, Milan 2026, and LA 2028.
Endeavor combined On Location and IMG Events, headed up by On Location president Paul Caine, in June.
On Location is the official partner of over 150 event-based rightsholders. IMG Events, meanwhile, covers sporting competitions and tournaments such as tennis’ Miami Open and Madrid Open, as well as the SailGP series and the Professional Bull Riding series.
Endeavor has made a solid financial start to the year. In August, the company posted $1.3 billion in revenue for the second quarter of 2022 as crowds returned in full numbers to its array of live sporting events.
