Credit card giant Visa has expanded and extended its sponsorship deal covering tennis' Davis Cup.

Through a renewal with the International Tennis Federation (ITF) unveiled today, Visa will continue as a prominent commercial partner of that national teams' men's tennis tournament this year. Specifically, it retains its status as the Davis Cup's official payment partner.

The initial tie-up between the two parties was struck last November, and covered the final stages of the 2025 Davis Cup.

The heavyweight payments brand will have an expanded presence at the end-of-competition Davis Cup Final 8 in Bologna, Italy, in late November.

In addition, it will also have a presence and on-court visibility at each of the 33 Davis Cup ties taking place worldwide between September 18 and 20.

The brand will also provide enhanced experiences and access around the matches to Visa cardholders.

Ross Hutchins, chief executive at the ITF, said: "Partners like Visa are essential to the continued commercial growth of the competition, and I am excited by the momentum we are building this year. Premium global brands see value in partnering with our prestigious competition, and we are thrilled to be working with the team at Visa again this year."

Other sponsors for this year's Davis Cup - which got underway in early February - include Rolex, Corpay, MG, and Swedish betting operator Betsson.

Dylan Leslie, Visa Europe's head of sponsorships, added: "As fans travel and engage with live sport in new ways, expectations are rising for more seamless experiences. Through our partnership, we’re helping meet those expectations while giving cardholders more ways to connect with the atmosphere and get closer to the action."

In terms of Visa's existing sports sponsorship presence, this month has already seen the company unveil a multi-year collaboration with video game developer Electronic Arts (EA).

Through the deal, Visa is now featuring in EA Sports FC and EA Sports College Football, offering in-game rewards and experiences for players.
