All matches will be shown on the linear Sportdigital1+ channel, with coverage starting today.

Sportdigital, the German sports-focused broadcaster, has secured last-minute rights to the Turkish Super Cup soccer competition.

All matches will be shown on the linear Sportdigital1+ channel, with coverage starting today.

The four-team competition features Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe, Samsunspor, and Trabzonspor, with two semi-finals followed by a final on January 10.

Galatasaray will face Trabzonspor in the opening semi-final today, with Fenerbahçe taking on Samsunspor in the second semi-final tomorrow.

The final of the Turkish Super Cup is scheduled for January 10.

The competition will feature several German players, including Galatasaray’s Leroy Sane and İlkay Gündoğan (of Turkish descent), while Samsunspor are led by German coach Thomas Reis.

The broadcast of the Turkish Cup in Germany is noteworthy as Turkish soccer has hardly been covered by German broadcasters recently, despite a large Turkish community in the country.

Several broadcasters have made attempts to address this recently. RTL has frequently included the major Turkish clubs in its selection of UEFA Europa League matches. Streaming giant DAZN has recently provided Turkish commentary for some Turkish club (or national team) games, while Sport1 aired some qualifying matches on free-to-air television.

However, the Turkish Super Lig still lacks a home on German television.

Ethnic Turks currently form one of the largest minority ethnic groups in Germany.

Sportdigital also recently extended its deal to show Spain's Supercopa competition for another three seasons.
