The European Table Tennis Union (ETTU) has renewed its media rights agreement with L’Équipe, the French free-to-air digital and terrestrial channel, for another three seasons.
Through the extension, L’Équipe will continue to provide coverage of major ETTU events for the 2026, 2027, and 2028 campaigns in France, Monaco, Andorra, and Mauritius.
ETTU competitions to be covered by the broadcaster include the Europe Top 16 Cup, Champions League Final 4 Men, Champions League Final 4 Women, European Individual Championships, and European Team Championships.
The first event to be shown under the new cycle will be the upcoming Europe Top 16 Cup in Montreux, taking place between February 5 and 8.
ETTU events will be aired on the main L’Équipe linear television channel, as well as the L’Équipe live OTT streaming service, and the company’s digital platforms and mobile and smart TV apps.
Pedro Moura, ETTU president, said: “This renewal confirms the continuous growth of table tennis in Europe and strengthens the visibility of our sport on one of the most important sports media platforms in the region.”
L'Équipe also recently secured rights to events organized by World Table Tennis for the next three years to expand its coverage of the sport.
