FIS extends with TikTok, adds Stora Enso for 2027 Nordic World Ski Champs

TikTok will activate the official accounts for nine of the FIS’s disciplines for the 2025-26 season.

The International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) has extended its partnership with short-form video platform TikTok, as the governing body seeks to enhance fan engagement in winter sports.

Under the new agreement, TikTok will continue as the official entertainment partner of the FIS, with more content offered on the official accounts for nine of the FIS’s disciplines.

The accounts will showcase athletes, key moments, and behind-the-scenes content from major events during the 2025-26 winter sports season.

As part of the deal, the pair will also launch a global social media campaign, offering fans exclusive prizes and rewards.

The renewal builds on the FIS and TikTok’s partnership that started last year, with FIS’s channels reaching more than 400 million views. Across its nine competition channels, content increased by 1670%, while followers jumped 640%.

A clip of Austrian ski jumper Daniel Huber alone saw over 100 million views and drew more than 30,000 comments on the FIS’s ski jumping channel.

The renewal comes as part of the FIS’s strategy to boost the visibility of its disciplines and athletes, having introduced a dedicated platform to support athletes as they grow their presence across social media platforms.

The FIS provides all athletes and national associations with their individual competition footage from every FIS World Cup across all Olympic disciplines for use on their official social media channels.

Meanwhile, the FIS has added packaging company Stora Enso as a premium partner for the 2027 Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun, Sweden.

As a premium partner, Stora Enso will supply the event with renewable, wood-based, and recyclable solutions as part of the FIS’s sustainability push, including wooden structures and catering products to sustainable prizes and giveaways.

The event, running from February 24 to March 7, will feature top athletes in cross-country skiing, ski jumping, and Nordic combined, with action taking place at the Lugnet Venue.

It will mark the seventh time that Stora Enso has sponsored the Nordic World Ski Championships, having served as the presenting sponsor for the event in Trondheim (2025), Planica (2023), Oberstdorf (2021), Seefeld (2019), and Lahti (2017), as well as the main sponsor in Falun (2015).
