African soccer's CAF governing body has begun the process of finding a host broadcast partner for next year's Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) men's national team tournament.

CAF has now issued a request for proposals from parties interested in securing these rights, which will cover the 24-team AFCON in 2027, set to take place across the East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.

The selected entity will be in charge of producing the international TV feed from that tournament for CAF and that body's licensed broadcasters.

The process officially went live on August 3, and proposals should be submitted no later than September 2 at 17:00 Cairo time (CAF's headquarters are in Egypt), to the procurement@cafonline.com address.

Enquiries on the process should be sent to the same address by 17:00 on August 23.

The African soccer body has said it is on the lookout for proposals from "established, experienced, and reputable service providers with the technical and operational capacity" to deliver host broadcast services.

Following the 2027 AFCON, all editions of that continental tournament will take place on a quadrennial basis - up until now, the AFCON has been held once every two years.

In terms of ongoing CAF tenders, late July saw the governing body begin the process of finding a commercial partner agency for the next eight-year rights cycle.

The selected agency will sell global commercial rights - covering broadcast, other media, and sponsorship - across the 2028, 2032, and 2036 editions of the AFCON.

The deadline for the submission of bids is 17:00 Cairo time on August 24, and interested parties should contact mediasales@cafonline.com and legalaffairs@cafonline.com.

CAF is currently staging the women's 2026 WAFCON in Morocco, with that tournament running between July 26 and August 16.
