Brazilian soccer’s top-flight Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A has shifted its media strategy in North America, after selling rights to online content creators through a deal with the Creator Sports Network (CSN).

The deal runs through the 2026 season and will see CSN become an official media partner of the Brazilian league in the US and Canada.

CSN will air one marquee match per week in English and Spanish through its distribution platform and network of top YouTube and Twitch streamers.

The agreement was secured by 1190 Sports, the Florida-based sports marketing agency responsible for the league's international distribution rights.

The move is a clear shift from the traditional broadcast model as Serie A matches were previously shown in the region by the Paramount+ streaming service and soccer-focused platform, Fanatiz.

Fanatiz recently secured a deal to continue providing coverage in over 100 markets.

Through this new model, fans will now be able to follow the league through popular online personalities and communities.

Soccer, rugby, and padel are among the sports that have recently moved away from the traditional linear broadcast models to focus on digital platforms and tap into new audiences.

CSN founder, Barrick Prince, said: “The power is in the model itself instead of any individual creator and taps into a new class of digital voices.

“Fans can expect to have the choice to join creator communities of all shapes and sizes on YouTube and Twitch: from leading personalities, super and casual fans, all the way to the upstart creator bringing their own style and unique audience to the Brazilian Série A.

“If we can make Brazilian Série A part of the weekly sports conversation for Gen Z and Gen Alpha fans here, we’ll have done our job.”

1190 Sports recently unveiled 11 new deals for international coverage of Brazil's Serie A, spread across Europe, Latin America, and Asia.

The agency has held international distribution rights to Brazil’s top league since August 2020. The 2025 Brazilian Serie A campaign began on March 29 and will run through December 21.
