Zoox, the autonomous ride-hailing company, has increased its visibility in motor racing’s elite Formula 1 (F1) after securing a new partnership with the Las Vegas Grand Prix ahead of this year’s edition.

The multi-year partnership sees Zoox, a subsidiary of e-commerce giant Amazon, become the event and official autonomous ride-hail partner of the race, with Zoox gaining brand visibility between Turns 15 and 16, on the F1 rooftop LED, along the Paddock Club escalator, and across the Sphere Experience.

From the 2027 edition, the company plans to offer rides in its purpose-built robotaxi to and from a dedicated pickup and drop-off zone at Grand Prix Plaza.

The new agreement comes ahead of the 2026 Las Vegas GP race weekend, which is scheduled to run from November 20 to 22.

Brendan Dolby, vice president of commercial at Las Vegas Grand Prix, Inc., said: “F1 has always been a platform for innovation, and our partnership with Zoox brings that spirit to life in a new way.

“Together, we have an opportunity to showcase the future of mobility on a global stage while building a partnership that extends well beyond race week.”

The new agreement builds on Zoox’s presence in F1, having previously secured a multi-year regional deal with the Williams Racing F1 racing team in 2024.

Under the deal, Zoox has a presence at the Las Vegas Fan Zone and the two other US races in Austin and Miami, with planned activations across Las Vegas throughout race weeks.

Zoox already has a presence in the city, with the company currently providing premium pickup and drop-off services at major hotels, resorts, entertainment venues, and the Harry Reid International Airport.

The company also has a deal in place with NHL ice hockey’s Vegas Golden Knights to serve as the presenting partner for the team’s home game against the Dallas Stars on November 17.

Carly Wyatt, vice president of experience, communications and marketing at Zoox, said: “Partnering with Las Vegas Grand Prix, Inc. brings together a shared commitment to engineering and innovation with the people and energy that make this city so special.

“Our purpose-built robotaxi was designed around the rider to make getting around more seamless, comfortable, and enjoyable. Together, we’re bringing autonomous transportation to one of the world’s most exciting sports and cultural moments.”

For the Las Vegas GP, the new deal adds to the race’s growing commercial portfolio, having secured its place on the F1 calendar until at least 2037 through a 10-year extension announced earlier this year.

Most recently, organizers secured partnerships with IT technology solutions brand Insight Enterprises, as well as SBI Holdings, the Japanese financial services group. The title sponsor for the race is Dutch beer brand Heineken.
