Volleyball World, the commercial arm of the sport’s FIVB governing body, has renewed its partnership with Vodafone Türkiye, the regional arm of the multinational telecommunications firm, for the Women’s Volleyball Nations League (VNL).

Under the extension, the brand will serve as an official partner of the competition’s stop in the country for a third consecutive year.

This year's edition of the VNL will be held in the Turkish capital, Ankara.

The partnership began in Antalya in 2024, when Vodafone's 5G network was used to support live match statistics during the Women’s VNL.

Over the past three years, the collaboration has expanded through a series of technology-led initiatives designed to enhance the fan experience.

The work builds on Vodafone's broader volleyball presence in Türkiye through its partnership with the Turkish Volleyball Federation, which began in 2023.

In 2026, Volleyball World and Vodafone will introduce a new fan engagement activation at the Women’s VNL in Ankara using 5G technology.

Vodafone's 5G infrastructure has supported a range of technological innovations at the Women’s VNL events in Türkiye, including the delivery of real-time match statistics to broadcast audiences and the operation of Bolt6 challenge systems in the arena.

Oliver Clarke, chief partnerships officer at Volleyball World, said: “Over the past three years, Vodafone has been an exceptional partner in helping us explore how technology can enhance the volleyball experience for fans around the world.

“What started as an exciting innovation project in 2024 has evolved into one of the most forward-thinking technology partnerships in our sport. With each year, we have challenged ourselves to go further, and the Women’s VNL Ankara will deliver our most ambitious activation yet.

“We are continuing to push the boundaries of what is possible and creating new ways for fans to experience and engage with volleyball.”

In April, Amazon renewed and expanded its partnership with the VNL for the 2026 season, upgrading from event partner in 2025 to title partner of the VNL stop in Türkiye.
