The tender process for Spanish-language media rights in the US to European soccer's UEFA men's club competitions is now open.
European soccer's governing body UEFA, alongside its Relevent Football Partners agency, formally began the process for the rights yesterday, covering the next four seasons of the top-tier UEFA Champions League (UCL), the second-tier Europa League, and the third-tier Conference League (as well as four editions of the season-opening UEFA Super Cup).

Running between 2027-28 and 2030-31, the tender's deadline for submissions is June 8.
Currently, Spanish-language Champions League rights in the US – one of the great emerging markets for live soccer broadcasts – are held by global sports streaming platform DAZN, which struck a deal with original rights-holder TelevisaUnivision in mid-2025.
USA men's national team players who competed in this season's Champions League included stars such as Johnny Cardoso of Atletico Madrid, Yunus Musah from Atalanta, Malik Tillman of Bayer Leverkusen, and Weston McKennie from Italian giants Juventus.
English-language rights, meanwhile, are currently held by Paramount Global, with that deal having been struck in 2022, and running between 2024 and 2030.
Rights have also gone out to tender in sub-Saharan Africa for the next cycle.
These rights, also covering the Champions League, Europa League, Conference League, and Super Cup, were sent out to the market on May 18, with a submission deadline of May 29 (this coming Friday).
Sub-Saharan Africa has also provided several players who feature in this season's UCL.
For the current cycle, a range of broadcasters hold rights in the region, including SuperSport (through Canal Plus) and New World TV.
In terms of recent UCL rights activity, earlier this month, Hungarian commercial broadcaster RTL extended its deal for that top-tier tournament.
Through the deal, RTL now holds rights to every UCL game across the 2027-28 to 2030-31 period, in an extension of its tie-up covering the ongoing 2024-25 to 2026-27 cycle.
Elsewhere, UEFA and Relevent awarded these rights in a wide range of markets – across Europe and the Americas – at the end of April.
Rights to UEFA competitions were already allocated in the 'Big Five' European markets of the UK, Spain, Italy, Germany, and France late last year.
Those were the first tender processes to be managed by Relevent, which replaced UEFA’s longstanding sales partner Team Marketing in that position in late 2024.
