UEFA, European soccer’s governing body, has begun its media rights tender process for club competitions in the 2024-27 cycle in Poland.
The tender was issued in the market yesterday (January 30) for broadcast rights covering the next three seasons of the top-tier UEFA Champions League (UCL), second-tier Europa League, and third-tier Europa Conference League (to be renamed the Conference League from 2024-25).
The sales are being handled by Team Marketing, UEFA’s partner agency for media and commercial rights sales across its club competitions. All inquiries should be directed to email@example.com, with a deadline for submissions of February 27.
During the current 2021-22 to 2023-24 cycle, media rights to the UCL are held in Poland by Polsat, the terrestrial and satellite broadcaster.
Viaplay, the European sports media heavyweight, holds rights to the Europa League and Conference League.
UEFA recently concluded a tender process in Turkey, awarding rights to all three club competitions to public-service broadcaster TRT.
The continental governing body also has a tender process open in sub-Saharan Africa, with December 11 set as the deadline for bids in that region.
A tender was also issued in Albania in early November, with offers expected by December 4.
