In total, Tan brings over 20 years of experience in sports media rights to the job.

He is now set to lead Two Circles' media rights strategy and operations across APAC, using his regional knowledge and existing relationships in the market.

Tan has now said: "By bringing together media rights expertise, audience intelligence, production, and streaming capabilities, my focus is on helping sports organizations build stronger distribution strategies, reach more fans, and ultimately drive greater returns from their content."

Most recently, the new Two Circles hire founded his own media rights consultancy business, called A Side Project 2022.

Gareth Balch, chief executive and co-founder at Two Circles, added: "Media rights are growing and the opportunity for our approach is particularly exciting in APAC, where markets, platforms, and fan behaviours vary enormously. Augustine brings a brilliant combination of experience and relationships to support our clients to know fans best."

APAC is now seen as a key growth region for Two Circles.

In terms of Two Circles' personnel updates, October has already seen Tobias Osmund – the agency's group executive director for the past two years – announce his departure.

Osmund had been in that role for almost exactly two years – ever since Two Circles acquired the Spring Media agency (where he was serving as chief executive) in October, 2024.

Recent rights activity, meanwhile, includes Two Circles being selected by the International Skating Union as its global partner for media rights, sales, and production, under a new four-year deal.

Other recent partnerships struck by Two Circles include an agreement with the Swedish Basketball Federation to support the development of fan engagement and ticketing around the country’s national teams and an expansion of its partnership with the Matchroom Multi Sport (MMS) organization, with a remit to help boost the reach of WNT.TV, the streaming platform of the World Nineball Tour (WNT) – which is run by MMS.
