The subsequent reports will analyse corporate structures, the brand's ownership, its licensing agreements, key personnel, business operations, and levels of regulatory compliance.

In addition, Sportradar will establish whether there are any criminal or legal proceedings at play that could create a risk for Borussia Dortmund in terms of its own brand reputation.

Andreas Krannich, executive vice president for integrity services at Sportradar, commented: "Borussia Dortmund recognizes the importance of building partnerships that reflect the club’s values, resonate with its supporters and create sustainable value for all parties involved. We are delighted to continue supporting the club as it develops a strong ecosystem of trusted commercial relationships that contribute positively to its long-term ambitions.”

Sportradar also has an integrity services partnership in place with soccer's global governing body FIFA, extended earlier this year and running through 2031.

In terms of recent Borussia Dortmund commercial activity, meanwhile, this month has already seen the club announce a new deal with AI-powered tech firm Freedom2hear.

Freedom2hear is now utilizing its patented AI to filter “harmful content”, termed “hate speech, harassment, pornography, spam and illegal broadcast links”, from Dortmund’s social media channels, in order to safeguard fans.

In September, meanwhile, the club extended its deal with IT service provider Adesso for another four years to run through the Bundesliga 2029-30 campaign.

The Sportfive agency serves as the club's commercial partner agency of record through 2030-31.

Dortmund currently sit joint top of the 18-team Bundesliga, after seven matchdays of the 2026-27 season.
