Build A Rocket, the esports and gaming agency owned by international sports marketing giant Sportfive, has acquired influencer marketing platform TwoReach as it continues to build out its esports services.

TwoReach manages an extensive portfolio of more than 120 content creators and social media influencers who act as ambassadors for brands looking to reach younger and harder-to-reach audiences.

Sportfive said it hopes the acquisition of TwoReach will expand its international portfolio and expertise in creator marketing and pave the way for scaling into markets outside of esports and gaming.

Till Stoiber, founder and chief sales officer at TwoReach, said: “TwoReach and Sportfive complement each other perfectly.

“After good intensive discussions, we have decided to take this future-orientated step. We are looking forward to shaping the esports, gaming, and digital entertainment market together.”

The acquisition is another step in Sportfive’s ambition to become the leading service provider for brand activations in the esports and gaming industry after establishing a global esports unit headed by Gyllenvard and Mortiz Altmann in 2020.

Its first move was to acquire Build A Rocket, the Germany-based esports consulting and activation agency, in March last year. The company remains an independent brand in the marketplace but obtained the endorsement title ‘a Sportfive company’.

All of Sportfive’s esports consulting and activation services are delivered through Build A Rocket. The setup aims to pair Build A Rocket's industry know-how in the field of esports and gaming with the extensive partnership and sale expertise of Sportfive in traditional sports.

Alexander Albrech, managing director at Build A Rocket, said: “We see content creators as an international growth opportunity by creating valuable connections between brands and the community.

“With TwoReach we are winning a team that thinks beyond the national borders with great motivation ad desire. The company has an excellent technical foundation, which allows us to execute innovative and transparent campaigns, and to implement our vision of a marketplace for brands and content creators.”

Robert Müller von Vultejus, chief growth officer at Sportfive, added: “We are proud to have acquired TwoReach, an agency that has its finger on the pulse of the times and is working with Sportfive and Build A Rocket to address brands where it is needed: in reaching communities beyond the traditional way.

“The opportunity to share the future of sports and entertainment within the esports and gaming space with an agency that lives and breathes innovation not only opens up incredible growth opportunities for us but creates a roadmap for future success.”

Sportfive has several partnerships with esports organizations including New York’s NYXL, UK-based Fnatic, Misfits Gaming, prominent team T1, US-based esports organization Immortals, plus others.
