UK pay-TV heavyweight Sky Sports has picked up the exclusive live broadcast rights to WTGL, the upcoming debut campaign of tech-focused golf competition TGL’s inaugural women’s edition.

This two-year deal will cover the debut 2026 edition, as well as the 2027 season.

A joint venture between TGL operator TMRW Sports and the elite LPGA Tour, WTGL will begin on November 8, running through the season-ending finals on December 22 and 23.

It will be hosted in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, at the same venue – the SoFi Center – which hosts the men's TGL (which has been running since 2025).

This deal is a natural fit for Sky, which has held rights to the LPGA Tour since 2014, and has shown TGL in the UK, Ireland, Italy, Germany, and New Zealand since the inaugural 2025 campaign.

Sky will also show the next two editions of the men’s TGL series in the UK territory, illustrating its commitment to golf in the market.

WTGL, backed by TMRW and also by the Trybe Ventures venture capital firm, contains five teams: Atlanta Drive GC, Boston Common Golf, Los Angeles Golf Club, Motor City Golf Club, and New York Golf Club.

In WTGL, teams of players will hit shots at a five-storey-high simulator screen before moving to a green that can rotate 360 degrees, creating hole-to-hole variations.

The participating players boast a combined 15 major championship and 114 LPGA Tour event wins, and include major names such as World Number Two Jeeno Thitikul of Thailand, Ruoning Yin of China, and Charley Hull of England.

In its home market of the US, TGL is broadcast by Disney-owned international sports broadcaster ESPN and the ION national network owned by Scripps Sports, as part of a deal agreed in September.
