German banking brand Deutsche Bank has secured a new agreement to title sponsor golf’s Singapore Open, which is returning to the DP World Tour calendar as a co-sanctioned event with the Asian Tour.
The deal, running from 2027 to 2029, sees Deutsche Bank re-enter golf sponsorship, having previously partnered with the DP World Tour as the title partner of the Players’ Championship of Europe from 1995 to 2007.

The title sponsorship was announced at the same time the DP World Tour, formerly the European Tour, and Asian Tour unveiled The Serapong at Sentosa Golf Club as host for the 2027 Singapore Open, which will take place from April 15 to 18.
The Singapore Open was first staged in 1961. While traditionally part of the Asian Tour schedule, the event was previously co-sanctioned with the DP World Tour between 2009 and 2012.
The tournament will now be part of the DP World Tour’s Asian Swing, the first of five Global Swings which form the first phase of the Race to Dubai.
Guy Kinnings, chief executive of the DP World Tour, said: “This partnership is significant not only because it is with one of the world’s leading financial institutions, but because it reflects the commercial appeal of the DP World Tour and the opportunities we can provide global brands through our platform.
“The return of the Singapore Open to our schedule is also an important milestone in our new tripartite partnership with the Asian Tour and the PGA Tour.
“Deutsche Bank’s investment will provide the foundation to grow this historic national open, enhance the experience on and off the course, and maximize the economic impact of the event for many years to come.”
Last month, the DP World Tour and PGA Tour announced a partnership with the Asian Tour to provide commercial and playing opportunities for Asian Tour members, with playing rights starting in the 2027 DP World Tour season.
The agreement paved the way for the co-sanctioning of selected tournaments by the DP World Tour and Asia Tour from 2027.
Elsewhere in golf, biotech company AbbVie has been named the official pharmaceutical sponsor of the PGA Tour and the 2026 Presidents Cup.
The partnership’s main activation will be the launch of AbbVie’s Birdies for Brain Health, a multi-year campaign that will launch at the 2026 Presidents Cup at Medinah Country Club in Illinois.
An initial donation will be shared among six patient advocacy organizations advancing science, awareness, and support across migraine, mental health conditions, and Parkinson's disease.
In 2027, Birdies for Brain Health will scale through donations for every birdie at PGA Tour signature events and the FedEx Playoffs.
AbbVie will also work with Gary Woodland, one of the US captain’s assistants for the 2026 Presidents Cup, to market the campaign through storytelling and engagement, having undergone surgery to remove a brain lesion.
Dan Glod, PGA Tour executive vice president, corporate partnerships, said: “Purpose and community impact have long been part of the PGA TOUR's identity, and AbbVie Birdies for Brain Health gives us a meaningful way to build on that legacy.
“We are proud to welcome AbbVie as the Official Pharmaceutical Sponsor of the PGA TOUR and the 2026 Presidents Cup, and to use the reach of golf to help raise awareness and support people living with brain health conditions and their care partners."
