Unrivaled, the professional women’s 3×3 basketball competition that launched last year, has gone past its initial target of securing $100 million in a recent Series C fundraising effort.
The financing round was led by the Ten Pillars Sports Fund (that entity, in turn, is backed by UC Investments), and has resulted in the league being valued overall at $650 million.

The player equity pool, meanwhile, is now valued at close to $200 million.
Investment in this latest Series C has come from the likes of current and former NBA basketball stars Trae Young and Carmelo Anthony, basketball coach Geno Auriemma, billionaire Jenny Just, actor Ashton Kutcher, and former women's soccer star Alex Morgan.
Alex Bazzell, chief executive and co-founder at Unrivaled, commented: "We're partnering with investors who share our vision to create lasting value and greater opportunity for the best players in the world, while continuing to elevate the game for fans. Unrivaled was built by players and for players, and their ownership, leadership and ambition continue to drive the league forward and define a new model for the sport."
This latest fundraising attempt has seen Unrivaled – unveiled as a new sports league in late 2024, through a Series A round – represented by the Inner Circle Sports firm.
Jagdeep Singh Bachher, UC Investments' chief investment officer, added: "Anyone who's watched Unrivaled knows this game is every bit as thrilling as any other sport out there. We're excited to help propel that momentum forward."
Unrivaled's Series B financing round took place in September 2025 and increased the league's valuation at the time to $340 million.
The series' second season – featuring an expansion to eight clubs – ran earlier this year, having made its debut in 2025. Season two saw significant expansion across areas including ticket and merchandising sales, as well as fan engagement on social media, Unrivaled has said.
Games were broadcast in the US on the TNT and truTV networks and streamed on Max.
Sponsors for the series earlier this year include the likes of PwC, US beauty retailer Sephora, health and wellness company Thorne, and bourbon brand Maker’s Mark.
Season three is set to tip off in January of 2027.
