OneFootball, the international soccer content portal, has today (July 20) announced a multi-year partnership with Italian soccer’s top-tier Serie A and has entered into additional partnerships with the league's AC Milan, Juventus, and Napoli teams.

The global Serie A deal sees OneFootball become the league's official video moments partner. Through the tie-up, fans of the league’s 20 teams can purchase, collect, and trade digital collectibles of match moments from Serie A, as well as from the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana competitions.

The collectible moments will include goals, saves, shots, skill, and other “special moments of gameplay.”

These digital moments will launch on the Aera by OneFootball digital marketplace, and fans will be able to access the moments through Dapper, an online wallet system.

During the upcoming 2022-23 Serie A campaign, over 1,300 new moments will be generated, with fans able to purchase packs, which when opened will detail exactly which moments have been bought.

The venture, both parties have said, is a “world-first deal [which] will give the soccer community a multi-dimensional experience that takes them from real life into a new digital age.”

The initial product associated with the deal will be unveiled on August 1, and it will become publicly available for the first time on August 29.

Through the deal, OneFootball has also secured rights to various historical moments from the Serie A archive, with moments from iconic matches in the past to be made available in the future.

Lucas Von Cranach, OneFootball’s chief executive and founder, said: “We’re creating an accessible experience for fans of Serie A … they can own digital video moments through us and take them wherever they want … they are theirs to keep, in perpetuity. As part of the community, fans will get even more benefits as we expand our Web3 offering and launch even more products.”

Luigi de Siervo, chief executive at Lega Serie A, added: “Today marks the start of a new way for Italian clubs to connect with all our younger fans around the globe. Together with OneFootball, we put the fans first by bringing them incredible new experiences, this time digitally …

“Now we are bringing our global fan base the most cutting edge experience – something no one has ever seen before in football.”

Supplementing the Serie A deal, OneFootball's partnerships with Milan, Juve, and Napoli give it additional marketing rights with the clubs, including via licensed memorabilia, player digital collectibles, play-to-earn games, and branding exposure.

Through the deals, OneFootball is designated the official NFT video highlight moment partner and a new premium partner of AC Milan, an official partner of Juventus, and a global partner of Napoli.

Fans of each will be able to collect club-focused digital collectible moments like those of the Serie A tie-up.

They will again celebrate goals, saves, shots, skills, and other special moments and cover matches in Serie A, the Coppa Italia, and the Supercoppa Italiana.

The first release will be on August 1, with the first release for the 2022-23 season to be launched on August 29.
