NRK and TV2, two of Norway's public-service broadcasters, have snapped up joint rights to both the Alpine and Nordic World Ski Championships.
A deal with Infront, the heavyweight agency which sells media rights exclusively for skiing's FIS governing body, was unveiled yesterday.

The tie-up covers the 2027 and 2029 World Ski Championships in both disciplines, with the Alpine edition in three years' time to be held in Narvik, Norway.
Next year's events, meanwhile, will be held in Falun, Sweden (Nordic) and Crans-Montana, Switzerland (Alpine).
Urs Lehmann, secretary general of the FIS, commented: "This agreement ensures that our athletes and events continue to receive broad, high-quality coverage throughout Norway. It gives us a strong platform to maximize the reach and visibility of multiple disciplines – which is crucial for us – also in the coming seasons."
Amikram Kranz, an Infront senior vice president, added: "Strong TV partnerships are crucial for the further development of skiing and snowboarding. TV 2 and NRK have proven over time that they are capable of creating engaging coverage that reaches both dedicated fans and new target groups. We are pleased that these championships will benefit from the reach, expertise and commitment of Norway's two leading broadcasters."
Norway is one of the most successful countries in terms of overall medals across both Alpine and Nordic FIS events.
The Infront-FIS agreement covering the World Championships, meanwhile, runs through 2029, with a wider tie-up extending further, until 2034.
In terms of recent TV2 activity, that broadcaster and Spanish soccer's top-tier LaLiga unveiled an extension in early July, running through the 2029-30 campaign.
