The National Football League (NFL), the elite tier competition of American football, has announced the first four designated teams set to compete in the NFL’s 2024 international series.
The series, which will see ten teams play five regular-season games outside of the US across the globe, will feature the Jacksonville Jaguars, Minnesota Vikings, Chicago Bears, and the Charlotte Panthers, with other teams to be announced as the NFL schedule comes closer.

The Jaguars, the franchise most affiliated with another country, will play as the home team at London, England’s Wembley Stadium, as the franchise has long affiliated itself with the UK.
In 2022, the team committed to playing a game at Wembley every season through 2024, and have played in London every year since 2013, with the exception of 202 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Minnesota Vikings and the Chicago Bears will also play in London, at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, owned by English Premier League soccer side Tottenham Hotspur. The venue, which features a retractable floor that sees an NFL turf come out from beneath the soccer pitch, is the only purpose-built NFL stadium outside of the US.
All three teams have marketing rights in the UK designated to them by the NFL’s Global Markets Program, which assigns various franchises marketing rights to different global regions in order to build fanbases and promote the globalization of the game.

By GlobalDataThe other NFL franchises with UK marketing rights Are the Miami Dolphins, New York Jets, and San Francisco 49ers, as well as the Pittsburgh Steelers, whose rights in the UK are limited to Northern Ireland.
The Carolina Panthers, one of five franchises with marketing rights for Germany, will be the home team in the league’s solitary Germany game of the 2024 season, to be hosted at the Allianz Arena in Munich, home of German soccer giants Bayern Munich.
Other teams with marketing rights for Germany are the Atlanta Falcons, Kansas City Chiefs, New England Patriots, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The fifth NFL International Series game of the 2025 season is set to take place in Brazil at the Corinthians Arena, with no teams announced for the game yet.
The Miami Dolphins, who played in Frankfurt, Germany in 2023 as part of the 2023 International Series, are the sole NFL team with marketing rights for Brazil, making it likely that the franchise will join the Bears, Vikings, Panthers and Jaguars in the series.
said Peter O’Reilly, executive vice president, club business, league events and international at the NFL, stated of the four teams announced: “Taking our game to more fans around the world is a major priority for the league and its 32 teams, and we are delighted to be returning to London and Munich in 2024.
He continued: “Whether tackle or flag football, international passion for the game and the NFL continues to grow, and having our teams and their world-class athletes play games and engage with fans around the world is an important part of becoming a truly global sport.”
