Sports technology and streaming graphic solutions firm Deltatre has launched a new technology platform aimed at providing sports properties with the tools needed to create an all-in-one digital fandom experience.
Deltatre Nexus was unveiled by the UK-based company yesterday, alongside its inaugural client, the New Zealand Rugby (NZR) governing body.

Combine business intelligence and editorial excellence to reach engaged professionals across 36 leading media platforms.
Deltatre Nexus is being used to build NZR a site that combines aspects including a live match centre, team news, feature content, highlights and statistics, a news feed, as well as team history.
It is being made available across the men's (All Blacks) and women's (Black Ferns) national team online sites, as well as through a new mobile app.
The technology will also allow NZR to stream games directly into markets where there is currently no broadcast partner – for example, an upcoming Māori All Blacks fixture against Japan will be available everywhere outside New Zealand and Japan.
Peter Bellamy, Deltatre's chief revenue officer, has said: "The platform utilises our new Deltatre Nexus product. Combining the strengths of Deltatre’s editorial and OTT products into a single new product ecosystem, and New Zealand Rugby’s leadership in leveraging it sets a powerful example for ambitious rights holders everywhere.”
Nexus has been built by combining the Deltatre Forge digital content management system with its Vesper streaming technology.
It seeks to create a single destination for sports rights-holders to house all their digital content and customer-facing activity, and also claims to provide territory-specific segmentation.
Chris Brown, chief commercial officer at NZR, added: "The world’s biggest sporting organisations have built powerful direct relationships with their fans, and this platform positions the All Blacks and Black Ferns to do the same.
“This platform gives us the ability to connect with fans, better understand what they value, and deliver experiences that keep them engaged with our teams year-round.”
In the future, the NZR's online site will develop in terms of offering fans a personalized experience, enabling them to follow specific teams and players.
The platform is going live in time for the men's All Blacks – arguably the most iconic national rugby union team around – facing off against France on July 4.
In terms of recent Deltatre activity, mid-April saw the company announce a new deal with Italian soccer’s top-flight Serie A, also launched alongside a new direct-to-consumer website and app.
Through this new four-season agreement, Deltatre will support Serie A through the provision of its proprietary technology to support the new website, as well as the competition’s digital ecosystem at large.
Deltatre has supported Serie A since the 2024-25 campaign, through an agreement that included the provision of IP-based graphics last season, and then the launch of the Serie A data hub this year.
