Global streaming giant Netflix has expanded its sports offering through a deal with Concacaf, soccer's governing body across North and Central America, and the Caribbean, to show the Gold Cup and Nations League Finals men’s national team competitions in Mexico.
Under a four-year agreement, the platform will have exclusive rights for the 2027 and 2029 editions of both competitions.

The fifth edition of the Nations League Finals will be played in March 2027 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, California, and will feature the four quarter-final winners.
The 19th edition of the Gold Cup, featuring 16 teams, will be played in the summer of that same year.
Philippe Moggio, Concacaf general secretary, has said: “We are very excited to partner with Netflix in Mexico as we continue to strengthen how fans connect with our premier national team competitions.
“We know that in Mexico, the passion for football is truly unique, and this agreement allows us to bring these competitions closer to millions of fans through a new platform. It also reflects our commitment to delivering high-quality access to tournaments that mean so much to our region.”

“Concacaf national team matches bring together millions of fans in Mexico like few other events can. We are thrilled that, over the coming years, fans in Mexico will be able to experience the Concacaf Nations League Finals and the Concacaf Gold Cup exclusively on Netflix, with no additional fees.”
Netflix has significantly grown its live sports portfolio in recent years, which now includes rights to the 2027 and 2031 FIFA Women’s World Cup in the US and Canada, its only previous soccer rights acquisitions.
The streaming heavyweight has previously focused on high-profile combat sports events as a path into the sports market, broadcasting several boxing fights, most notably the superfight between Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford and Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez last September, which attracted 41 million global viewers on the platform.
Most recently, Netflix announced its entry into mixed martial arts through a new agreement with the Most Valuable Promotions brand where it will broadcast the upcoming Ronda Rousey vs Gina Carano bout.
Netflix also has major deals with American football’s NFL and wrestling’s WWE, as well as rights to top-tier properties from sports such as baseball and tennis.
