The French Rugby Federation (FFR) has recommitted to kit supplier Adidas, striking a new long-term agreement with the German manufacturer that will now run through 2036.
Adidas first took on the contract in September 2024 on an initial four-year deal that was set to expire in 2028.

Now, though, the FFR has added a further eight years to that term, establishing a long runway through which Adidas can continue to leverage the partnership, which will now span the next three men’s and two women’s Rugby World Cups, as well as ever annual edition of the iconic Six Nations tournament.
France won back-to-back men’s Six Nations tournaments in 2025 and 2026, and ahead of the 2027 men’s Rugby World Cup, the national team occupies the fourth spot in both the men’s and women’s world rankings.
Perhaps crucially, this new agreement reportedly comes with an uplift in annual fiscal value for the FFR, providing long-term security after a shaky few years prior to the initial Adidas agreement.
Indeed, Adidas replaced French brand Le Coq Sportif, which fell into administration soon after the switch, before being saved at the last minute.
While the renewal of the Adidas contract provides continuity in one sense for the FFR, a change on the jersey front is due, with reports having surfaced in June suggesting that French transportation and shipping company CMA CGM is set to become the next front-of-shirt sponsor for the French men's national rugby union team, replacing incumbent Altrad Group.
Altrad Group became the first-ever shirt sponsor of the FFR national teams when it first partnered with the organization in early 2017 (a deal that came into effect the following year).
The deal between the two parties was last renewed in early 2024 and, at that point, was meant to run until mid-2027.
