Ziggo Sport, the Dutch pay-television network owned by telecoms operator Vodafone Ziggo, has added Top Rank Boxing to its offering.
The deal covers at least 20 events per year, including regular world title fights, which the broadcaster will show live, as well as replays and highlights the day after the events on Ziggo Sport's socials and online channels.
Marcel Beerthuizen, director of Ziggo Sport, said: “With Top Rank, we are making a special addition to our fantastic portfolio of absolute top sports. From now on, boxing enthusiasts can also visit our channel to follow the exciting fights of international top boxers live.
“We offer our viewers not only great fights but also expert commentary from Sander Schrik and three-time Olympic bronze medalist Arnold Vanderlyde."
The deal debuted on February 16 with O’Shaquie Foster beating Abraham Nova to retain the WBC junior-lightweight title at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Last December Ziggo Sport secured exclusive rights in the Netherlands to the men’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), the continent’s premier national teams’ soccer tournament, for the next two years.
