WSC Sports, the Israel-based sports video content provider, has agreed new partnerships with media giant TelevisaUnivision and the European League of Football (ELF), the American football competition in Europe.

Through a long-term tie-up, TelevisaUnivision will utilize WSC Sports’ AI video solution to generate highlights for 15 soccer-related properties it owns rights to in Mexico and the US.

This will include the upcoming seasons of Mexico’s Liga MX and Europe’s elite UEFA Champions League, among others, for broadcasting television network TUDN.

WSC Sports’ technology will be used to analyze games in real-time, clip highlights of all matches, and create both short and long-form content.

The content generated will be distributed among TelevisaUnivision’s digital outlets including over-the-top (OTT) service ViX, along with its digital and social media platforms.

The tie-up between the two parties began during soccer's 2022 FIFA World Cup when TelevisaUnivision utilized WSC Sports’ technology.

Olek Loewenstein, president of global sports for TelevisaUnivision, said: “The way new generations of fans consume soccer content continues to evolve.

“Right now, soccer fans around the world are demanding tailored, comprehensive, and engaging content offerings featuring the top leagues and tournaments that make up our premium sports rights portfolio.

“Our partnership with WSC enables us to be a leader in creating and delivering highly relevant and customized content that matters most to our viewers while doing so in real-time.”

Ahead of its upcoming third season, WSC Sports will also provide its AI-powered solutions, including the automated creation of video content for all formats and dynamic graphics, to ELF under a multi-year agreement.

In addition, the Israeli firm’s technology will be applied to the ELF’s entire video library.

WSC Sports' offering will enable the ELF to create and distribute a range of video content around its 107 games this season.

The content will be distributed to fans globally via the ELF’s over-the-top streaming platform and social media channels.

Zeljko Karajica, chief executive of the European League of Football, said: “WSC Sports’ cutting-edge artificial technology is an end-to-end solution that allows the European League of Football to publish content instantly, at scale.

“The potential seems almost infinite, and we are very happy to have secured such an innovative partner.”

The ELF recently agreed on tech and broadcast-focused partnerships with international sports data technology company Genius Sports, Endeavor Streaming, a subsidiary of the international entertainment agency giant, and Amazon Web Services (AWS), the cloud computing solutions division of the e-commerce heavyweight.

The new ELF season begins on Saturday (June 3).

So far this year, meanwhile, WSC Sports has announced long-term agreements with ATP Media, Deutsche Telekom, and Dyn Media, respectively.

The company has deals in place with over 300 leagues and broadcast partners including the NBA, LPGA, ESPN, YouTubeTV, Bundesliga, LaLiga, Serie A, and DAZN.
