United Media, the southeast Europe-based media company, has today (June 29) retained exclusive broadcast rights in the region to the MotoGP premier motorcycling series.

Under the renewed multi-year agreement, the MotoGP World Championship will continue to be shown on United Media’s Sport Klub pay-TV channel in Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and North Macedonia.

The extension was struck with Dorna Sports, the commercial rightsholder of the series.

In the coming years, coverage of every grand prix of the season will continue to be shown exclusively on SportKlub channels.

Coverage includes all practices, qualifying sessions, and races for the Moto3, Moto2, and MotoGP classes, as well as all MotoE World Championship races.

In addition, the new Tissot Sprint for the MotoGP class will be aired as part of the race weekend.

The renewed contract extends a partnership between Dorna and United Media that started in 2012.

Nemanja Simeunović, chief executive of Sport Klub, said: "The contract renewal allows us to continue delivering exceptional sports experiences and to remain a regional leader in the broadcasting of motorcycle events.

“Our team will continue to provide viewers with the best and highest quality media coverage, as well as exclusive interviews, analyses, comments, and other content that will not be found anywhere else.”

Dan Rossomondo, chief commercial officer of Dorna Sports, added: "We’re very happy to continue our partnership with SportKlub. We’ve been working together since 2012, so we know this extension will guarantee that our fans across southeast Europe continue to receive high-quality, comprehensive coverage of MotoGP as this new era and Tissot Sprint continue to make headlines.

“With a sizeable audience for our sport across Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Montenegro, and North Macedonia, the right partner is a necessity, and SportKlub has proven to be just that."

In May, Dorna claimed the first quarter of this year's MotoGP World Championship had attracted record broadcast audiences.
