Starzplay, the subscription video on-demand service, has expanded its partnership with Discovery to carry the US media giant’s GolfTV over-the-top platform across the Middle East and North Africa.

The Dubai-based service will offer GolfTV to subscribers as an add-on to its existing line-up.

GolfTV will be available as a stand-alone channel on Starzplay for $9.99 while all existing and potential subscribers who have a Starzplay subscription can access the new add-on free for one year.

Starzplay already has a distribution deal with Discovery to carry its Discovery Plus streaming service.

Francesco Perta, Discovery senior business development and distribution director, MEA, Turkey, and Northeast Europe, said: "We are happy to broaden our current Discovery Plus partnership with Starzplay by adding GolfTV to their platform.

“We are confident that our partnership will support in expanding the reach of golf in the region."
