Spring Media, the Sweden-based international sports media and marketing agency, has secured a deal to produce and broadcast the Caen Open, the exhibition tennis tournament in France, internationally for the next five years.
The agency’s Spring Productions arm will be on-site to film and manage the production of nine matches during this year’s event, all of which will be broadcast free-to-air, live and on-demand on Fanseat, the OTT sports platform owned by Spring Media.
Meanwhile, Spring Media will also handle the distribution of the broadcast rights.
This year's edition will take place from 14 to 17 December and will feature the likes of Ugo Humbert, David Goffin and Lucas Pouille from the ATP men's tour and Anett Kontaveit and Alizé Cornet from the women's WTA Tour.
Jean-Maël Gineste, Spring Media country manager for France and managing director at Fanseat, said: “The Open de Caen is an exhibition tournament which is well-established in the French tennis calendar.
"Through this partnership, the Spring Media group will provide the Open de Caen with its know-how in live production, distribution, television broadcasting and OTT broadcasting to take this event to the next level, within France and on the global stage."
Spring Media also has partnerships with the Davis Cup and Tie Break Tens.
