Setanta Sports Philippines, an arm of the international pay-television operator, has acquired domestic rights to North American basketball’s NBA.

Under a multi-year agreement, the broadcaster will provide coverage of more than 120 games per season in the territory.

Beginning with the upcoming 2023-24 season that tips off its broadcast in the Philippines on October 25, Setanta will deliver live NBA games in the country through its streaming platform and pay-TV channel.

Additionally, Setanta’s streaming service will offer live and on-demand access to original NBA programming, including the league’s wraparound content series NBA 360, which features exclusive interviews and behind-the-scenes access to players and coaches.

In addition, Setanta subscribers in the Philippines can purchase the NBA Playoffs package on NBA League Pass, the league’s OTT subscription service.

The agreement builds on the NBA’s multi-year collaborations with Setanta’s parent company Eurasian Broadcasting Enterprise and Setanta Ukraine to show games across select countries in Europe and Asia.
