The Professional Triathletes Organization (PTO) has announced a two-season renewal of its broadcast partnership with sports and fitness brand Outside Interactive.

The company's Outside Watch will broadcast every event of the 2024 and 2025 editions of the PTO’s T100 Triathlon World Tour series of events on its Outside Watch OTT streaming service.

Shoulder content and ancillary programming surrounding the race, including pre-race preview shows and season-long documentary content will also be shown on the platform.

PTO chief content officer Nick Shakinovsky stated of the renewed partnership: “Outside Interactive is a leading player in the endurance broadcast market, so we’re very grateful to be continuing our journey with them and having their platforms show off the exploits of our amazing athletes.”

The partnership began with the Miami T100 season opener this past weekend, the first of the eight-event season spanning three continents.

Outside has been partnered with the PTO since 2021, broadcasting the 2022 and 2023 editions of the PTO Tour, the precursor to the T100 series.

The 2023 PTO Tour was broadcast in over 195 global territories courtesy of a number of the PTO’s broadcast partnerships which included the initial Outside Watch deal, while its Ibiza, Milwaukee, and Singapore events attracted TV and streaming coverage that drew a 24.6 million total audience across the trio of races.

In January 2024, the PTO Tour rebranded under the T100 moniker, owing to its new partnership with the World Triathlon governing body.

The agreement, put into place on August 16, saw the PTO Tour (now T100) recognized as the official World Championship for long-distance triathlon, and the two bodies are now collaborating to create “a season-long narrative for the world’s leading triathletes.”

World Triathlon has also said it is now working together with the PTO “on a number of services,” such as anti-doping, competition jury appeals, safeguarding and manipulation, technical support, as well as what has been described as “an extensive marketing and commercial collaboration between both organizations.”
