The National Hockey League (NHL), North American ice hockey’s elite competition, has relaunched its free smart-TV application in collaboration with digital streaming platform ViewLift.
The app is now available on the Apple TV, Android TV, Fire TV, and Roku smart-TV services, with each service receiving a tailored user interface courtesy of ViewLift.
The app allows users to customize feeds to suit their team of choice, with highlights, ancillary programming, and shoulder content all available on the offering.
Nili Doft, NHL senior vice president for digital media stated: “The redesigned NHL app gives fans easy and engaging destinations to catch all the latest highlights and recaps of their home teams and the League overall.
“ViewLift’s expertise in sports streaming is ensuring that we can curate and present compelling content to our fans.”
ViewLift has been involved in NHL streaming beyond the league itself in the past, boasting franchises including the Washington Capitals among its clients.
