MCS Basket, the new basketball-focused streaming platform, has acquired a broadcast package in France for the EuroCup, the second-tier European clubs basketball competition organized by Euroleague Basketball.
Under the agreement, the service will have rights to air a selection of EuroCup games for the remainder of the 2021-22 season, including select games of French representatives Boulogne Metropolitans 92 and Mincidelice JL Bourg en Bresse.
It will additionally broadcast knockout games from the EuroCup last-16, quarter-finals, semi-finals, and the final.
France-based MCS Basket, operated by Multi Channel Sport Group, is a subscription service available on mobile and smart TV devices that has already acquired rights to several other leagues.
Last month, it snapped up rights to the Spanish top-flight Liga Endesa to add to existing deals for the top domestic competitions in Israel, Italy, and Turkey.
MCS joins a stable of broadcasters in France offering European basketball. The Olympique Lyonnais OTT platform OLPAY airs all LDLC Asvel Villeurbanne games in the French territory, while Monaco TV – the public television of the Principality of Monaco – shows all AS Monaco games.
