L’Equipe, the French digital sports broadcaster, will show the latter stages of the Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana, the South American soccer’s clubs competitions after acquiring domestic rights.
The platform will exclusively air the semi-finals of the competitions, which get underway next week, as well as the finals.
L’Equipe’s coverage will begin with the all Brazilian affair between holders Palmeiras and Atletico Mineiro on Tuesday (Wednesday in local in French time), while the other semi-final features another Brazilian outfit with Fluminense taking on Ecuador’s Barcelona SC the following night.
Meanwhile, in the Copa Sudamericana, Brazil’s Red Bull Bragantino and Athletico Paranaense face Paraguay’s Club Libertad and Uruguay’s Penarol, respectively.
The Copa Libertadores final is scheduled to take place on 27 November, while the Copa Sudamericana will conclude on 20 November.
In June, L’Equipe picked up rights to show the Copa America, South America’s national teams competition.
