The St. Louis Cardinals, of North American baseball’s MLB, have struck a partnership with FuboTV, the live sports streaming service.

Through the Cardinals deal, Fubo will have its branding displayed at select Cardinals home fixtures, while there will also be fan engagement opportunities.

Cardinals fans will also receive an option to access FuboTV “through an extended free trial.”

Season ticket holders at the Cardinals’ Busch Stadium will receive an invite for a free 30-day pass, while other Cardinals fans will be eligible for a 14-day trial.

FuboTV currently streams Cardinals games through carriage deals with the ESPN and Fox national networks, as well as with regional sports networks (RSNs).

This marks Fubo’s third partnership with an MLB side in the last five weeks – deals were struck in May with the Boston Red Sox and with the Cleveland Guardians.

Yale Wang, senior vice president of marketing at Fubo, said: “To engage with such a historic, storied franchise that boasts some of the most loyal fans in baseball is always exciting. We’re looking forward to offering fans an extended free trial to watch their Cardinals live on Fubo.”

Dan Farrell, St. Louis Cardinals’ senior vice president of sales and marketing, added: “We are pleased to partner with Fubo this season, and their sports-first approach makes this partnership a natural fit for Cardinals' fans.”

In late March, Fubo agreed to a distribution deal with MLB to carry its out-of-market MLB.TV platform.

Fubo customers are now able to add MLB.TV to their existing channel plan for $24.99 a month.
