FanDuel, the US fantasy sports and betting firm, has teamed up with North American basketball’s NBA to offer its League Pass live game subscription service to its customers.

The sportsbook will be the only US sports betting operator offering users three months of NBA League Pass.

FanDuel is also introducing a new product feature that will help fans bet on key moments in a game in real time to start the season.

Between October 19 and October 26, new FanDuel Sportsbook customers who place a $5 bet will receive three complimentary months of NBA League Pass and $200 in bonus bets.

Existing customers who bet $5 on the NBA will also receive three complimentary months of NBA League Pass, allowing fans to watch and wager live on all out-of-market games.

Fans can take advantage of the NBA League Pass offer through December 11.

FanDuel has an existing relationship with the NBA as an official sports betting partner of the league.

Mike Raffensperger, FanDuel's chief commercial officer, said: "FanDuel is committed to offering the top sportsbook product on the market and elevating the entertainment experience for fans this NBA season.

"This year, we're leveraging the power of our NBA partnership and our platform to create an ecosystem where fans can bet on pivotal moments in a game in real-time and watch to see the results, elevating their sports betting and entertainment experience."

Peloton, the digital fitness brand, this week also agreed a partnership with the NBA in which the League Pass service will be available to stream across compatible Peloton devices for members.

Meanwhile, the NBA has partnered with Screenreach, the UK-based technology firm, to deliver live games to commercial venues in Malta.

Under a multi-year agreement, the company will broadcast select games from the NBA season live in bars, hotels, and cafés across the country via its cloud-based Screach platform.

The deal is the NBA’s first collaboration of this kind in Europe and begins with the upcoming 2023-24 campaign.

The agreement will enable commercial venues to stream NBA games in HD, both live and on-demand, to their existing TVs with no need for a satellite or cable TV connection.

The new NBA season tips off on October 24 and culminates with the NBA Finals in June 2024.

Screach recently teamed up with BeIN Sports, the international pay-TV giant, to deliver its live content to commercial venues in Australia.

In recent years, the company has partnered with Polish soccer’s Ekstraklasa to provide live coverage across commercial UK venues and with the Amazon Prime Video streaming platform to deliver its domestic coverage of Ligue 1 to premises across that country.

The firm also signed a deal with American football’s NFL in Poland.
