Eurosport and TNT Sports, the Skydance-owned pay-TV broadcasters, have agreed an extended rights partnership with the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) to show every event on the Biathlon World Cup and World Championship calendar for at least the next four seasons.

Beginning with the 2026-2027 season, the agreement covers every market in Europe excluding the Nordics, Poland, and Russia, with additional exclusivity of the entire World Cup season in 34 territories.

Eurovision Sport, the EBU's free streaming platform, will also offer English-language streaming coverage of all events.

Live television coverage will be shown on Eurosport and TNT Sports in the UK and Ireland.

This includes every World Cup event and World Championships, including the next three editions – Otepää, Estonia in 2027; Hochfilzen, Austria in 2028; and Oslo, Norway in 2029 – ahead of coverage of all biathlon events taking place at the 2030 Winter Olympics in the French Alps.

In addition, HBO Max will be the streaming home of biathlon across the same European markets, with every event available live and on demand.

The first live event under the new agreement takes place in Finland from November 24.

Editorial coverage of the biathlon season, interviews, short competition highlights, other digital content and storytelling will also be made available throughout the season on localised web, app, and social platforms.

Biathlon forms a key part of Eurosport and TNT Sports' winter sports portfolio, which includes coverage of every major World Cup and World Championship event across 12 disciplines including biathlon, ski jumping, and alpine skiing.

Trojan Paillot, senior vice president of rights, syndication and commercial development at Eurosport and TNT Sports, said: “We are passionate about winter sports and have built up decades of experience scaling coverage of the widest range of events to the largest possible audience across the continent.

“Biathlon regularly ranks among our most watched events throughout the winter season. We know our biathlon offer can continue to attract even more fans while supporting the growth of the sport.”
