DirecTV, the US satellite broadcaster, has agreed a deal with Singapore-based mixed martial arts promotion ONE Championship to distribute its events in commercial venues across the country.
Under the deal, the broadcaster’s DirecTV For Business arm will provide the promotion’s live ONE Fight Night events in bars and restaurants.
All ONE Fight Night events currently stream live and free on retail giant Amazon’s Prime Video streaming service in the US and Canada following a multi-year agreement in April 2022.
The upcoming ONE Fight Night 14 event taking place on September 29 will be made available in participating venues.
The launch follows a recent trial for ONE's US debut in May, which included select DirecTV For Business locations from several restaurant chains.
Tai Morshed, senior vice president of US strategy and operations at ONE, said: "ONE Championship has one of the most passionate fan bases in the world, and we always strive to make our programming as convenient and accessible as possible.
