DAZN, the international sports streaming service, has extended its broadcast rights deal with Spanish men's soccer’s LaLiga in Italy and Portugal for another five years.

Through the long-term renewal, the platform will continue to exclusively show 380 matches per season from the league in those markets until the end of the 2028-29 season.

DAZN will provide both live and on-demand coverage of the Spanish top men's league.

The deal will also include rights to Spain’s second-tier Segunda Division, including promotion playoffs, and additional content such as highlights, news, and analysis.

The service has held LaLiga rights in Italy and Portugal since 2018.

DAZN’s coverage in Portugal includes the previous broadcasting rights of pay-TV operator Eleven, which was acquired by DAZN in 2023.

LaLiga features several Portuguese national team players including Barcelona's Joao Felix and Joao Cancelo, Villarreal's Gonçalo Guedes, Real Sociedad's Andre Silva, and Real Betis' William Carvalho.

The platform shows the top Spanish league in several other markets, including domestically under a five-year agreement that began last season.

Jorge Pavão de Sousa, the managing director of DAZN Portugal, said: “We’ve been working with LALIGA since 2018 and we’re proud to renew our agreement with one of the competitions most admired by the Portuguese.”

Javier Tebas, LaLiga president, added: "At LaLiga, we always look for best-in-class partners to deliver Spanish football to fans everywhere. And we are delighted to continue working with DAZN in countries with the historic football tradition that Italy and Portugal have.”
