DAZN, the international OTT sports streaming service, has extended its exclusive rights deal with Italian men's soccer's top-tier Serie A in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland).
Through a three-season tie-up unveiled yesterday, DAZN will continue as the sole home of the 20-team Serie A in that trio of markets for the 2026-27, 2027-28, and 2028-29 seasons.

The deal also covers the Coppa Italia domestic knockout cup competition, as well as the Supercoppa Italiana fixture between the Serie A and Coppa Italia winners from the previous season.
It adds to DAZN's significant coverage of Serie A in other markets – including in Italy itself. The broadcaster is covering every league fixture domestically through an agreement running between 2024-25 and the end of the 2028-29 season. Sky Italia holds simultaneous rights to a number of games each week, as well.
In addition, DAZN is set to be the league's rights-holder in France from next season, again through 2028-29.
For a DACH audience, DAZN will continue to offer fans a choice of both German and English commentary, as well as "the original DAZN Italia studio broadcast."
The current deal through which DAZN shows top-tier Italian men's soccer to German, Austrian, and Swiss fans was unveiled in June, 2024, and covers the 2024-25, 2025-26, and 2026-27 seasons. It has been valued at $9.17 million annually.
German players currently contracted to Serie A clubs include Yann Bisseck at champions Inter Milan, and (last season) Robin Gosens at Fiorentina.
Alice Mascia, DAZN DACH's chief executive, commented: "I am delighted that we have extended our successful partnership with Serie A ahead of schedule and can offer fans in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland the entire world of top-level Italian football on DAZN for the long term – from Serie A to the Coppa Italia and the Supercoppa. With flexible language options, including Italian commentary, we are creating a uniquely authentic experience that is only available on DAZN."
All DAZN packages in the DACH markets include Serie A as an option, with the Mobile Pass option available for €9.99 ($11.40) per month.
The upcoming 2026-27 Serie A season gets underway on August 23, and will run through until May 30.
In terms of recent DAZN soccer rights activity, earlier in July, a deal was announced through which it will broadcast over 500 UEFA national team fixtures over the next two years in Spain.
This includes games from the UEFA Nations League annual competition, as well as qualifying matches for the 2028 European Championships.
