Global sports subscription platform DAZN has bought up basketball streaming service Basket.TV, which mainly serves Latin America.
Basket.TV operates primarily across Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Bolivia, Chile, and Ecuador, and covers both domestic leagues from those countries, as well as a selection of competitions from across the globe.

This move from DAZN comes after that service – through its Courtside 1891 specialist basketball site – covered the FIBA Women's World Cup, exclusively worldwide.
Courtside 1891 moved exclusively to DAZN earlier this year, having been carried on a non-exclusive basis since 2024. The product had been previously broadcast as a standalone offering on DAZN's platform, not connected to the remainder of its sports offering.
DAZN has also been a joint venture partner of basketball's global governing body FIBA, through FIBA Media, since 2016.
In addition, DAZN and numerous teams from the top-tier NBA have entered into local rights tie-ups over the last few weeks and months – including the Indiana Pacers, Detroit Pistons, Cleveland Cavaliers, Orlando Magic, San Antonio Spurs, Memphis Grizzlies, and Minnesota Timberwolves.
Shay Segev, DAZN Group's chief executive, commented: "This acquisition significantly strengthens our global basketball and supports our broader growth ambitions across Latin America. Together, we'll continue to create great value for fans, leagues, and partners, while continuing to grow the sport around the world."
Latin America is a priority growth market for DAZN – currently, the sports subscription heavyweight is only active to any significant level in Brazil, but is now looking to expand beyond that single market.
In terms of other recent DAZN activity, meanwhile, late last week, a global renewal was unveiled with Extreme H, off-road motor racing’s hydrogen-powered series.
Basket.TV, meanwhile, presently covers around 4,900 basketball matches – in total – each season, for more than 300 teams.
