UK commercial broadcaster Channel 4 will broadcast every televised moment of live sport from the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games on its YouTube channel.
Channel 4, the official UK media partner for the games, will enhance its long-standing partnership with YouTube, offering up to 18 concurrent streams and more than 1,300 hours of coverage from all the events being made available for live coverage by the games’ organizers.
The announcement of the new partnership comes with 100 days to go until the first day of competition at this summer’s showpiece.
Matt Risley, managing director of Channel 4’s social and content unit 4Studio, said: “We are thrilled to be offering the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games for the first time through this partnership. This summer, our YouTube partnership will make the Paralympic Games the most social yet in the UK. We will continue to seek innovative partnerships to keep growing our reach with young audiences and build on our unrivaled digital success.”
Channel 4 will provide coverage across its main linear TV channel, the More4 and Channel 4 streaming platforms, and social channels.
The Paris 2024 Paralympics, which will feature around 4,400 athletes competing in 22 different sports, will take place from August 28 to September 8.
