CazeTV, the Brazilian sports streaming channel founded by YouTuber Casemiro Miguel, has outmuscled Disney-owned broadcast giant to acquire WTA Tour women’s tennis rights in the country.

Beginning with the 2027 campaign, and reportedly running for four years (through the end of the 2030 season), CazeTV will showcase the top-tier WTA 1000 events, second-tier WTA 500s, and tertiary WTA 250s, on an exclusive basis.

IMG, the global sports and media agency, is an advisor to the WTA and helped to broker the deal.

This agreement ends ESSPN’s coverage of WTA Tour tennis, with the broadcaster having held those rights in Brazil since 2021.

Disney+, ESPN’s associated streaming service, has a distribution deal with CazeTV that will run for the next three years, meaning that coverage will at least feature on Disney platforms through that outlet.

Furthermore, ESPN also still holds the rights to men’s and women’s action from tennis’ four ‘Grand Slam’ majors, and retains ATP Tour men’s tennis rights also, ensuring that it still dominates the tennis landscape of Brazil (and Latin America at large) even with this new CazeTV acquisition.

A key point of interest for CazeTV coverage will no doubt be the success of doubles world #4 Luisa Stefani of Brazil, who has already won three WTA events this season alongside her partner Gabriela Dabrowski of Canada, including the WTA 1000 Dubai Tennis Championships.

Bia Haddad Maia, current world #153 singles player (but former world #10), is another who will likely be a focus of the agreement, as will rising stars Naná Silva and Victoria Barros.

Of similar domestic interest will be the WTA 250 SP Open in São Paulo, Brazil’s sole WTA Tour event (for now).

Other high-profile names, such as world #1 Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus, will be centered in CazeTV’s coverage.

CazeTV has taken an increasing interest in tennis over the past year and, in 2025, broadcast Davis Cup national team tennis action featuring the Brazil team, and will do so once again with the team’s game against Switzerland on September 18 and 19.

The broadcaster’s tennis-specific Instagram page boasts over 125,000 followers, with a further 11,100+ followers on the tennis-specific CazeTV TikTok page, both of which feature on-site coverage of tennis tournaments globally.

The CazeTV platform, which is run by the LiveMode agency alongside Miguel, has become a major player in the sports broadcasting market in Brazil, and over the last month has secured major viewership interest for the 2026 FIFA World Cup soccer tournament, as well as striking new rights deals for several other significant soccer properties.
