Tech giant Apple has secured rights to stream the final three rounds of the 2024 US Open Cup, the country's oldest club soccer competition.

Under the agreement with the US Soccer Federation, the closing stages of the competition will be available to stream live for free on MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV platform. Apple TV will provide English-language coverage in over 100 countries and regions worldwide.

The MLS Season Pass service will broadcast the final seven matches of the tournament (which features clubs from a range of US soccer competitions), including the quarter-finals (July 9-10), semi-finals (August 27-28), and final (September 25).

The four quarter-final fixtures are Sporting Kansas City vs. FC Dallas, Atlanta United vs. Indy Eleven, Sacramento Republic vs. Seattle Sounders, and LAFC vs. New Mexico United.

The 2023 US Open Cup was won by Houston Dynamo after defeating Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami in the final.

Apple launched MLS Season Pass last year after acquiring global media rights to Major League Soccer in a 10-year deal for the 2023 season.

Through the $2.5-billion ($250-million-per-year) agreement, the tech heavyweight launched the streaming service exclusively through the Apple TV app globally, without any local domestic broadcast restrictions.

In addition to live MLS matches, the platform airs games from the Leagues Cup, the annual competition contested by clubs in MLS and Mexico’s Liga MX, and select matches from the MLS Pro affiliate league and MLS Next youth league.
