1Stadia, a US-based company specializing in sports technology and media rights, has secured exclusive rights to events organized by soccer’s world governing body FIFA this year across the Indian subcontinent.
The deal covers the upcoming flagship Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand (July 20 to August 20), along with the Club World Cup in Saudi Arabia (December 12 to 22), the Beach Soccer World Cup in Dubai (November 16 to 26), and the U17 World Cup in Indonesia (November 10 to December 2).
All events will be shown in India, as well as Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Bhutan.
Sangeet Shirodkar, 1Stadia chief executive and co-founder, said: “The FIFA events covered under this agreement hold a special place in the hearts of football fans worldwide, and the acquisition of these broadcast rights by 1Stadia reflects the company’s dedication to offering premium content to its audience.”
In a statement, 1Stadia said it will leverage its “state-of-the-art infrastructure and advanced broadcasting capabilities to offer viewers an immersive and engaging journey through these prestigious events.”
It added that fans could anticipate “extensive coverage, in-depth analysis, expert commentary, and behind-the-scenes glimpses, bringing them closer to the action like never before.”
