The E1 Series, which is being promoted as the world’s first electric powerboating competition, has launched a bidding process for cities around the world interested in hosting dates on its calendar.
The process will be managed on behalf of the series by The Sports Consultancy (TSC), the London-based sports and events agency.
TSC will invite cities to formally express their interest for the first season and beyond in seasons two and three.
The eight-race season will consist of up to 10 teams made up of a team owner and two pilots, one male and one female.
E1 claims the series will attract a potential global media reach of 180 million fans.
Rodi Basso, co-founder and chief executive of E1, said: “I’m pleased to be partnering with TSC to launch the host city bidding process for season one and beyond. It has a strong track record in this field and we know that we can rely on its expertise, as well as plug into its global network to identify suitable host cities for the championship.
