Infront brings in insurance firm as latest EHF Euro 2020 partner
Europa Versicherungen, a German insurance provider, has signed on to become an official partner of European men’s handball’s Euro 2020 competition, in a deal brokered by Infront, the international sports marketing agency.
Europa’s brand logo will appear on the shirt sleeves of every player during next month's tournament in Sweden, Austria and Norway, which features 24 teams for the first time.
Infront, owned by China’s Wanda Group, has worked with the European Handball Federation since the inaugural European Championships in 1994 and is the EHF’s exclusive media and marketing partner.
Europa, aside from the sleeve sponsorship, will also receive brand exposure via the event’s television coverage, and through pitchside LED advertising hoardings at all 65 matches.
Bauhaus, a home improvement firm, Lidl, a supermarket chain, Liqui Moly, an automotive lubricants brand, Grundfos, a water solutions manufacturer, Gorenje, a kitchen design firm, Engelbert Strauss, a mail order firm, and Intersport, a sports retailer, are already sponsors of the Men's EHF Euro 2020.
This is the last men's tournament under the old EHF-Infront contract, with the agency and DAZN, the international OTT platform, holding all media and sponsorship rights packages to the EHF Euro from 2022 to 2030 and the European club competitions – the EHF Champions League, European Handball League and EHF Cup - from 2020 to 2030.
